A bespoke hot-rolled steel and walnut dining table for two friend’s studio apartment

The clients requested a bespoke dining table for their small apartment in Auckland. Narrow entry points into the apartment required a table that could be brought in as a kitset and assembled inside.

Blue hot-rolled steel and walnut timber inserts are contrasted against each other for a contemporary (yet hopefully timeless!) piece of furniture. 

The table legs are bolted into a concealed bracket within the apartment. A resilient penetrol and wax finish on the steel resulted in a beautitul satin finish that will last decades.
